Other Crane Tours
California Department of Fish and Game
The California Department of Fish and Game hosts a docent program offering public crane viewing tours. Tours are held at Woodbridge Ecological Reserve, also known as Isenberg Sandhill Crane Reserve, the first 3 weekends of each month from October through February. The one exception is the weekend of the Lodi Sandhill Crane Festival, when tours are offered throughout the weekend by the Festival and require separate pre-registration. For more information on viewing the Sandhill Cranes, visit DFG's Sandhill Crane Tours website or call (209) 948-7708.
Save Our Sandhill Cranes
The group Save our Sandhill Cranes is offering free Sandhill Crane tours from October through February. For more information, please visit their website.
Self-Guided Tours
You can see Sandhill Cranes at many locations
in the Delta from October through February without a formal tour. You will also likely see many species of ducks, egrets, herons, White-faced Ibis,
Snow Geese, Tundra Swans, and other waterfowl and shorebirds from early fall to late spring.
